There are many areas of activity and ministry to get involved in at Bethel! We strongly believe that God’s people should be always ready and willing to serve with a heart of love. Serving others and playing a part in the work of the Lord in a local church is a vital part of the Christian life.

Community outreach is a big part of the weekly schedule of BBC. We believe it is our responsibility and privilege to carry the Good News all over the streets and towns that make up our Community. We do make an effort to encourage our church family to be active in both inviting people to church, and spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Matthew 28:18-20, Acts 1:8 There are several weekly times to meet up at the church for outreach opportunities:

Faithfulness Rally– 9:45am The main weekly gathering time for visitation and outreach. We enjoy some singing, a brief Bible challenge, and then break up into groups to go out into the surrounding neighborhoods. Children’s Challenge– 10:30am Our elementary age children and several volunteer adult workers load a bus and canvas neighborhoods with church invitations.

Teen Soulwinning– 3:45pm Our Jr. High and High School teens meet up and go out together into a nearby neighborhood to speak to folks about Christ, and enjoy a meal together afterwards.

Men’s Visitation- 6:00pm A group of men meet together at the church to go out and make follow-up visits on guests, and to reach out to new people in the community with the Gospel and a church invite.

Ladies’ Outreach– 10am Several ladies meet up at the church every Friday morning to go to a nearby community together to make visits and knock on new doors.

Taking a Missions Trip is a life-changing investment. It is so easy to become burdened with all the things in life that seem unpleasant to us, but often a trip to a foreign mission field can help realign one’s priorities and perspective. God’s people have been given the command to reach the world with the gospel, and a missions trip helps to fuel that effort.

About every two years, BBC plans a missions trip to a foreign country that church members are able to be a part of. We clearly communicate the cost and give the date well in advance to make the expense as feasible as possible. The Missions Trip for 2014 was to Costa Rica, and it was a tremendous success!

If you are interested in accompanying a group on a BBC Missions Trip, stay current with our announcements and sign up for the next upcoming trip.

Bethel Baptist Church has operated a thriving Bus Ministry for decades. We run routes all over our area and transport hundreds of children, teenagers and adults every Sunday. By God’s grace, these buses run at no charge to those who ride each Sunday.

The Bus Ministry is indeed one of the largest ministries of our church, and we thank God for each one who serves faithfully as a worker or driver on a route. In terms of areas of service in our church, the Bus Ministry is a fantastic place to start. If you would like to serve in this great ministry CLICK HERE to find out how you can get involved.
